Carrie Louise Scott

On the evening of December 8th, Louise left her earthly body to be with Jesus. Louise was born August 10, 1931, in Alto, Texas, to Edward Theodore and Katie Allen Smith. She grew up in Angelina County and attended Central School. She grew up with brothers and sisters: Thelma, Vanoy, Jake, Rebecca, and John Smith. She married Pete Quine at a young age and they had 5 children: Daughter, Linda and Pete Cooper, Son, Eddie Dean and Luan Quine, Daughter, Kay Aldredge, Son, Billy Quine, Daughter, Melissa “Missy” and Scott Green She worked for many years at Central ISD retiring in 1999. After retiring, she spent her years caring for grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent her middle years devoted to her children and their cousins. Always with an open door, a meal, a place to stay if needed. She had a strong faith in Jesus that she taught to her children, as evidenced by their own walk and service to Jesus to the second and third generation. She was always an active and faithful member of the congregation she attended. Always singing in the choir, teaching Bible studies, and attending women ministry activities. She served last at Providence Baptist Church until she was no longer able to drive and her memory began to fail. She spent her final 3 and a half years at Pinnacle where she gained a reputation for 42, domino playing, and singing just because she felt like singing. A special thanks to her friends there, Mrs. Barbara, Mrs. Nina, and Mrs. Ruby. The family appreciates the love and support of the Pinnacle staff. Pallbearers: - Michael Quine, Randal Cooper, Jeffery Cooper, Jeremy Quine, Jacob Quine, Andrew Quine, Taylor Green, Justin Aldredge Preceded in death by husband Reese Scott, father of her children Pete Quine, son in law Curtis Aldredge, grandson Chase Quine, and great granddaughter Kate Cooper. Survived by grandchildren: Jennifer Aldredge, Michael Quine, Randal Cooper, Jeffery Cooper, Jacob Quine, Jeremy Quine, Andrew Quine, Kristin Quine McChen, Taylor Green, Rachael Green Fields, 30 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services officiated by Brother Bryan Lipscomb and Scott Taylor Green. A visitation will be held at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home, located at 412 East Shepard @ Montrose, Lufkin, Texas, 75901, on December 11, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at Simpson Cemetery, FM 1819 CR 10, Pollok, Texas, 75969, on December 12, 2025, at 10:00, with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 am at Providence Baptist Church, 4423 Ted Trout Drive, Lufkin Texas 75904.
